Job Summary
To create and maintain accurate template drawings and details for construction. As an Architecture Associate, you will be focused on designing home plan products, creating new front designs, and making changes to template drawings. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing innovations that increase speed, efficiency, or simplicity within all of our design or drawing processes.
Essential Job Functions
o Improve Processes and Drawing Systems
§ Create/improve processes to be more efficient
§ Organize processes to be more efficient
§ Create/improve drawing systems to be more efficient
o Design home plans and fronts
§ Create advanced graphic renderings
§ Design floor plans and other residential building systems
o Make Changes Template Drawings
§ Make Changes to all Template Drawings
§ Ensure all Template Drawings are as accurate as possible
§ Regularly check for accuracy and correct errors
§ Coordinate changes to drawing with team leader
o Correct Errors/Plan Changes on Job Drawings
§ Correct all errors/plan changes on Job Drawings that have already been issued
§ Coordinate with Builders on errors
o Create accurate Construction Drawing sets
§ Conduct team reviews of drawing sets
§ Continue to update drawings throughout the project with error corrections and revisions
o Fill in for other Team Members
§ Assist other team members filling in with their responsibilities
Qualifications
§ Detailed Personality
§ Experience in Revit or AutoCad
§ Advanced Computer Skills
§ Desire to serve others
§ Architecture, Drafting, or Home building experience is a plus
§ Works in temperature-controlled environment
§ Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitch
§ Superior communication skills with co-workers, customers, trade partners and vendors
§ Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist
§ Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with or without reasonable accommodations
§ Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
§ 40-45 hrs/week (Flexible) (between 7:30am and 5pm)
§ Max 5 hrs Overtime
§ After hours and weekends may be necessary on occasion for trips, or to meet deadlines.
