Environmental Services Worker (Housekeeping & Laundry Department)
Foyer Père Fiset is a 71 bed Long Term Care facility located in Cheticamp NS, along the Cabot Trail. Our team cares for some of the most vulnerable people in society. It’s important and meaningful work we do. That is especially true this year, as our employees continue to actively work in preventing the COVID-19 virus from entering our Long Term Care Home.
Currently we are seeking candidates to join our team to fill several openings for Casual/Part-Time Environmental Services Worker positions. We offer an extensive orientation and training program.
We understand many people in the communities we serve have been temporarily displaced from their employment due to the world wide COVID-19 pandemic. Others may have been counting on a summer employment opportunity during their post-secondary school education break which is now uncertain or no-longer available. As an Environmental Services Worker you will provide a range of critical services for our residents including Housekeeping and Laundry. Ideal candidates will have the following:
Ø Experience in hospitality services such as Restaurant Services, Housekeeping Services, Laundry Services and Guest Services
Ø Experience working with elders and being in companionship with them.
Ø Enjoy hands on work
Ø Internally motivated, highly disciplined, tactful, conscientious and empathetic.
Ø Proven ability to work in a team environment
Ø Experience in Healthcare would be an asset
Ø Food Handlers training and WHMIS certification would be an asset
