The NSNU is seeking a dynamic professional to fill a permanent full-time position of Education and Technology Officer. The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Director, as well as work with the President, Board of Directors and many Union representatives on behalf of the membership.The Education and Technology Officer will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, coordinating and implementing all manner of member education (programs, in-services, conferences, face-face, web-based, etc.) and will provide expertise in the development and management of internal IT projects. A further key aspect of the position will be to provide support for the organization in the matters of government relations, research, contract negotiations, and labour relations.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the area of nursing, labour relations, social sciences, or adult education. A minimum of five years demonstrated work experience in adult education is preferred. Preference will also be given for candidates with experience in the labour movement and/or Ph.D. qualifications.
