309A Electrical Apprenticeship Opportunity in & around the GTA


A commerical/industrial contractor is looking to build their team for work in the GTA (and beyond as required). Looking to hire a First to Third year Electrical Apprentice able to grow with the company. The company specialises in both new construction and service work, and primarily in hazardous location installations. Most sites are within the GTA, but due to the specialized nature of the work, further travel throughout Ontario may be involved. Jobs may involve 'ground up' work installing main services, panel boards, transformers, lighting and more, to service work via troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing existing installations.

Day Shift - (evenings and weekends may be required)

Job Type: Full-time 




Duties and Responsibilities


  • Accurately complete work orders and commission equipment with smart phone and computer

  • Work with project managers, office staff and customers to complete projects

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and present technical issues in a clear and concise manner  

  • Installation/integration of electrical systems to meet electrical safety standards  

  • Solid knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code

  • Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit and electrical apparatus for machines or equipment in new and existing buildings.

  • Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Requirements


  • You will have, or are willing to gain experience working with Conduit, PVC, EMT, Rigid, Bending, Cutting & Threading & trade specific tools
  • Organization/planning abilities to complete assigned tasks

  • Strong written, listening and verbal communication skills

  • Tenacity and the determination to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

  • Self-sufficient, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Valid Ontario driver's license with a good driving record

  • Safety certified for working in construction (WAH, WHMIS, Workers Health & Safety)
