Welcome To Gelderman Landscape Services - Applying For The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader/Foreperson Position

We are currently hiring for Landscape Maintenance Crew Leaders/Foreperson and Lead Hands at both our Waterloo and Waterdown Locations.

Responsibilities include:

Ability to operate all relevant equipment such as push mower, string trimmer, blower, stick edger
Operate walk-behind and zero turn mowers
Discuss daily plan with crew; attend tailgate meetings and Crew Leader meetings
Ensure truck and trailer are clean and organized as well as loaded safely
Responsible for the completion of daily timesheets for crew
Conduct performance evaluations alongside Production Manager for crew members
Train crew daily, as to proper techniques, work procedures, maintenance and safety issues
Demonstrate leadership and guidance to crew
Responsible for the delegation of crew tasks
Experience pruning and caring for trees and shrubs (hedge trimming etc.)
Walking of entire job sites for inspection
Interact with clients on site when needed, providing exceptional customer service in a polite and courteous manner
Ensure that all PPE’s are being worn in compliance with company and legislative regulations

Qualifications: College/University education in relevant discipline an asset, must have a Valid G license, knowledge of plant material required, Minimum 3 years’ experience in landscape maintenance.
