As the Building Maintenance Worker, you will perform regular inspections and maintenance; in addition to regular maintenance, you will be responsible to complete the start-up requirements for the plant.

Responsibilities Include:

• General building repairs and maintenance.
• Complete daily plant start-up requirements.
• Assist and take daily direction from the Chief Engineer on jobs and tasks to maintain a clean and orderly sit.
• Assisting building contractors as required including monitoring of contractors onsite for safety practices and best practices.
• Maintain a record of current inventory.
• Maintain all building-related service logs in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify and recommend to supervisor preventive maintenance requirements for buildings and basic equipment.
• May be required to assist with snow removal, ground maintenance service or building operations functions.
• Ensure and enforce compliance to all company and legislated safety policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience Required:

• A high school or college diploma.
• One year of related maintenance/operations experience.
• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of construction materials.
• Able to use basic power tools and complete basic building maintenance.
• General knowledge of HVAC electrical/mechanical systems.
• Good mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work Sunday – Thursday – 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
