Mechanical Technician in Mississauga


An established commercial, industrial and residential door installer based in Mississauga is looking for a mechanical technician for the installation and service of metal doors, frames, door closers, panic bars and related hardware.  The ideal candidate would have some experience in a mechanical field (minimum 1 year), with welding experience an asset. Training will be provided, with the candidate able to develop their career in this role as the business expands. A good work ethic, ability to work well independently and upholding a professional standard on every job are essential.

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour depending on experience, with the potential to earn between $80,000 to $100,000 pa within 5 years


Additional pay:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately complete work orders 
  • Work with project managers, office staff and customers to complete projects 
  • Identify, troubleshoot and present technical issues in a clear and concise manner  
  • Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner 
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Requirements 

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with tools, with welding experience an asset
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Tenacity and the determination to get things done in a timely manner 
  • Self-sufficient, analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Valid Ontario G class driver’s license with a good driving record and own vehicle 
  • Safety Certification (WH&SA, WHMIS and more as required - Employer will train)
