Responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget whilst maintaining a safe work environment.
Main duties are to direct, plan and coordinate daily work activities for workers. In larger operations this is done through crew leaders/forepersons; and in smaller operations personally directs workers who perform tasks in ground maintenance, landscape construction, greenhouse or nursery operations. Often the supervisor, in smaller operations, will work hands-on as well as overseeing the workers. Also in smaller operations, where there is no manager, may be involved in presenting and selling landscape installations, maintenance projects and services, plants, shrubbery, trees, etc. to customers.
Must perform landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, fertilizer applicaztion, weed control, spring clean up, fall clean up, trimming and prunining.
Candiates must have experience in operating a variety of mechanical equimpment including but not limited to bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, dump trailers, chainsaws, line trimmers and tillers.
Valid Drivers License with clean record.
Must be able to lift uup 50 pounds to waist level and perfom all other physical requiremnts association with a position of this nature.
