Control System Designer / CAD Technician

RSE Controls & Automation promotes continuous training and employee development within the company. We are seeking applicants to fulfill the role of Control System Designer / CAD technician to join our growing team.
Opportunity
We are currently looking for a full time Control System Designer / CAD technician. The successful applicant must have experience with AutoCAD & AutoCAD Electrical. The successful applicant will be responsible for generating full electrical panel schematics from sketches and previously configured drawing package components, produce and update general assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, wiring lists and bills of material. The successful applicant will participate in design meetings with RSE staff as well as the customer on occasion and will liaison with the customer to gather site specific design criteria and information. The successful applicant will also assist other RSE team members to support various projects as required from time to time. The position will occasionally involve travel to site.
The ideal applicant will have a minimum 3 years experience in a similar role or will be a new grad from a college diploma program with relevant educational experience. They will have experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, designing and drafting electrical control systems and processes. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills with a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will be expected to complete assigned work as directed in a timely fashion and work independently while functioning well within RSE’s team environment. Excellent organization and time management skills are beneficial. A valid Ontario Driver’s License is required. There is also potential for growth in this position through project management, business development, and leadership opportunities. · Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.

Experience
· Previous experience in a similar design/engineering CAD Tech role preferred.
· Recent College Graduates or current Co-Op students will be considered
