We are a 24/7 company, so we cannot have a '9 to 5' mentality. While our team members generally work regular business hours, there may be occasions where working outside of the conventional schedule will be required.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Under the supervision of the COVID Clinical Services Manager, the COVID-19 Offsite Technician is responsible to:

o   Assist with in organizing and running COVID testing sessions

o   Ensuring the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following COVID Protocols

o   Answer questions related to COVID Protocols

o   Collecting supplies for offsite shifts from our Clinic prior to shift

o   Transporting to and from shifts, emphasis on punctuality for start times

o   Setting up testing supplies (with help from the offsite medic)

o   Conduct PCR and/or Rapid Antigen COVID testing, collecting specimens using nasopharyngeal swab, nasal swab, gargle/swish, and/or oropharyngeal/bilateral nares collection methods

o   Process Rapid Antigen COVID tests

o   Manage COVID testing using PRAXES software

o   Assist with management, organization, and clean-up of COVID supplies

o   Communicating client requests and/or incidents during shift to our Clinic

o   Frequently sanitizing “high volume” surfaces (i.e. door handles, sanitizer lids, terminals etc.)

o   Sending out rapid results through Rapid Testing Software

Knowledge and Skills:

·        Need to have:

o   Great communication skills

o   Reliable transportation to and from the worksite

o   Current and valid Nova Scotia class 5 Driver’s License

·        Nice to have:

o   Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Ground course (online; provided through PRAXES)

 

Performance Evaluation Criteria

  • Objectives and Key Results – personnel are well supported, site access is maintained, client is happy with services, minimal COVID issues onsite
  • Quality – COVID protocols are followed and behaviour is professional at all times
  • Attitude – positive, cooperative, and customer-oriented 

 

Pre-Employment Requirement: PRAXES Medical Group has a Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy which requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of Vaccination is a condition of employment. Proof of full vaccination is not required a time of application but will be verified prior to the commencement of employment.
