The Perennial Gardener is looking for a Diligent Gardener Leader to join our team! You will become a full member of the crew and will oversee a small team offering an ongoing opportunity for you to further develop your leadership skills. Your Responsibilities:

The Diligent Gardener Leader will direct a team in their duties on different garden projects throughout the day. You will be responsible for keeping the clients’ gardens in a clean state, this will involve driving to the site, weeding, trimming and general tidying of each property all while adhering to a defined time management plan. Duties may include planting, mulching, removing weeds, trimming shrubs, deadheading plants and improving the overall look of the garden by spotting and identifying problems and offering your recommendations and solutions to meet the client’s needs. Your duties will also include managing your team and ensuring that they are efficiently performing their tasks while being safe.

Requirements:

• 35 to 40 hours per week.
• Leadership Skills
• Able to lift a minimum of 24 kg
• Knowledge of plants and shrubs an asset, training provided
• Valid driver’s license a must
• Safety shoes are a must
• Like to work outdoors
• Able to use gas and battery-powered tools

Salary

• Range:  $25 - $30 per hour
• Season: April – November
