In business for 6 years, we are landscape professionals serving the GTA, specializing in landscape design, consultation and installation of both residential and commercial developments. We also offer summer lawn care and winter maintenance services.

We are currently seeking a Landscape Crew Leader to join our team to assist in providing services in landscape construction and maintenance, consultation and professional installation with a focus on creating beautifully landscaped properties to meet clients unique needs. This position will also assist in managing and training crew members on proper work standards and ensuring job requirements are met.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct, plan and coordinate daily work activities of crew members
Work along with crew members in completing all landscaping installations/maintenance
Instruct crew members on proper work standards
Complete timesheets
Inspect the quality of work to ensure job requirements are met
Conduct site visits during construction as required
Meet deadlines for project stages
Trimming using line trimmers
Blowing leaves and grass clippings using backpack blowers
Weeding, pruning, planting, cultivating and edging beds, laying sod etc.
Drives company vehicle (and trailer) to clients locations
Snow removal and salting
Interact with clients to resolve issues and/or answer questions
Operate, train and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment
Able and willing to work outside in various types of summer weather conditions
Assist in general office duties as required
Perform other duties as may be assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum College Diploma/Certificate or enrolment in Horticulture or Landscape Design or related field and/or extensive proven industry experience will be considered.
Knowledge of construction techniques and basic knowledge of horticulture and plants an asset
Working knowledge of Windows OS software
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
Excellent time management skills
Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and equipment such as packers, chain saws, hedge shears, sod cutters, pruning saws, mowing equipment, etc. to complete landscape and garden projects
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid G driver’s license required. D/AZ driver’s license is preferred with a clean driver’s abstract

Successful candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:

Personal transportation to and from the office/yard
Available to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Willing to work extra hours during busy times
Eager to learn and expand skills
Adhere to company policies & procedures

Compensation and Benefits:

$20 to $ 28 / hour based on experience
Paid statutory holidays
All uniforms and PPE paid for by company
