LANDSCAPING & CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONAL

 

DEPARTMENT:                      Landscaping & Construction

 

COMMENCEMENT:                       Spring 2022    (** Immediate positions available **)

 

SUMMARY:  Boffo Landscaping Inc. is looking for hard working, punctual, dependable and motivated individuals with an excellent work ethic.  Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year landscaping/construction experience (with flexibility for increased training).  This position is "full-time" seasonal with the potential for year-round employment & an opportunity for future growth and advancement in this field.     

 

REQUIREMENTS, FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all aspects of the company's "Landscaping & Construction" Operations including: tree and shrub planting, grading, sod work, interlocking, retaining walls, natural stone work, soil/mulch installation, etc.
• Should have knowledge, experience and capability in using various tools, equipment, and machines required for landscape construction work (for example, skid steer, backhoe, mini excavator, plate tampers, concrete saw, etc.).
• Knowledge and hands-on competence of various plant material, aggregates, and other landscape construction materials and supplies required for project work (is an asset).
• Perform both small and large scale landscape construction enhancements/improvements as assigned to crew unit. Ensure efficient completion of work in the allotted timeframe for each project in conjunction with Crew Foreman. 
• Continually deliver a high standard of work and productivity with field work operations. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and respect for customers, suppliers, and co-workers.  Effectively and safely operate crew trucks & tandem trailers, crew equipment, and machines.  Ensure safe use and operation of all equipment and machines.   
• Must be a "team player" dedicated to achieving both crew and company goals. Perform other related duties, as assigned, that are in accordance with job responsibilities or necessary department and corporate objectives.  Must arrive to work in a timely fashion and in uniform.
• Learn, uphold, understand, and respect the rules and regulations as outlined in the company's "Corporate Policy Manual" and "Safety Manual". Manage and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
• Must have a high school diploma and possess minimum 1 year experience in landscaping/construction. Candidates should have a valid "G" license and a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work.
