 We are helping North America Construction (1993) Ltd., - NAC Constructors Ltd. (NAC) find caprenter apprenctices in the Belle River area!

NAC is currently seeking Carpenter Apprentices (level 3 & 4) to join our Denis St. Pierre Water Pollution Control Plant Expansion Project located in Belle River, ON.



Position Description


  • Assist Carpenters with daily tasks and duties contributing to on-site day-to-day operations
  • Assist in the assembly and erection of forms for concrete, wood and metal frame construction and use plans and instruments to prepare for excavating and shoring
  • Participate in Tool Box Talks daily and communicate any safety concerns
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment, and comply with all Health & Safety regulations
  • Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
  • Keep a daily log of tasks
  • Respect and respond to direction given
  • Handle and transport job materials to the work area as needed
  • Advise Journeypersons/Forepersons of any variances to schedule and/or material issues
  • Perform other related duties, including minor duties of other trades where certification is not required and the work does not exceed own limitations
  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures


Qualifications and Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in the construction industry
  • Experience using advanced formwork systems (LOGO or Peri preferred)
  • Knowledge of concrete pouring experience
  • Flat concrete finishing experience is an asset
  • Experience on 7 meter high walls is an asset
  • Experience working with circular formwork tanks is an asset
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
  • Ability to operate carpentry tools and required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ability to read building specifications, prints and as-builds
  • Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current
  • Respect diversity - treat others with respect
  • Valid WHMIS, Health and Safety Awareness Training for Workers and Working at Heights/Fall Arrest certificates are required.
