Welcome To Lawson Landscapes Inc. - Applying For The Landscape Technician Position

Lawson Landscapes is a landscape construction company located in Parry Sound, Ontario. We specialize in constructing rock walls, retaining walls, flagstone patios, walkways and stair treads along with site preparation, septic installation and road construction. We are currently seeking a lead hand/landscape technician with minimal 5 years experience in the construction industry. Someone with a creative mind and the ability to construct landscape projects along with septic installations and site work. Must have the ability to run most types of construction equipment. Have a keen eye for grade and understanding of water management.

As the ideal candidate you will:

• Have a minimum of 5 years construction experience
• Have experience operating machinery
• Have experience operating landscape construction tools (packers, concrete saws, laser levels)
• Be able to make mathematical calculations to determine area, volume and slope
• Posses a strong work ethic and passion for landscaping
• Have a keen eye for detail and take pride in seeing the results of your work
• Take initiative to complete tasks
• Enjoy working independently and in small-team environment
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner on the job site and when communicating with clients

Terms of Employment

• Needed until end of season in November 2021- option of working in winter in snow removal industry
• Monday - Friday: 50 - 60 hours per week

Compensation

• $25.00 -$35.00/hr (wage will be determined by candidate's skill, qualifications and experience).

Other Information

• Must posses own steel-toe work boots
• Must posses valid Ontario drivers license
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment
