Welcome To Chris Reeve Knives - Applying For The Rotary Tumbler Operator / Finish precision knife parts / 4-day Workweek Position

As a Rotary Tumbler Operator, you will:

  • Work methodically to produce pristine finishes on knife blades and other machined parts at a quality-oriented knife manufacturing company. 
  • Load and unload parts into multiple tumblers. 
  • Remove marks and burrs; sand and polish using hand tools.
  • Clean and maintain tumblers, tools, and other finish related materials. 
  • Maintain inventory, use work-orders, follow written instructions.
  • Enjoy repetitive tasks which require skill and focus. 
  • Learn on the job, though previous experience running a tumbler is a bonus.

  • Experience working in a machine shop environment
  • An eagle-eye or natural ability to detect flaws or disruptions in patterns
  • Skills and ability in doing fine finish work
  • Dexterity with hand tools and a drive to produce high-quality parts
  • Drive to complete tasks, both independently and within a team
  • Exceptional communication skills and openness to feedback
  • Ambition to learn and grow from others

What is expected of you:

  • Will require lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • May require sitting or standing for long periods. 
  • Accurate parts logging
  • Checking parts for correct finish
  • Applying finishes to various knife parts
  • Keep inventory accurate and workspace clean and organized 
  • Daily, Monthly and Yearly parts output quantity goals met

Pay, schedule, and benefits:

  • Pay: The pay indicated is the starting wage and is re-evaluated after 90 days of employment.  
  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday, with a 7:00 AM-5:30 PM shift or 5AM - 3:30 PM shift. The shift needed will be clarified at time of hire.
  • Benefits: Available after probationary period and include health insurance, paid time off, 401K matching, and an employee discount.
