Estimator

Be able to quote on landscape projects for commercial and residential projects, including gathering proposals, plans, specifications, and related documents.

Create project estimates, analyze costs and maintain budgets. Meet with clients to discuss concepts and plans; sell projects to customers; and provide customer service during the span of the project.

Maintains contact and relationships with private individuals and other organizations.

Identify labor, material, and time requirements and compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.

Be able to resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information on various job sites.

Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information for job quotations being quoted on.

Contributes to team effort by working on job sites as needed.

Estimator Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong analytic abilities
• Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and word processing programs
• Understanding of construction documents
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans
• Ability to coordinate and work independently
• Knowledge of CAD or other landscape design and estimating software

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in estimator field of interest
• at least 5-10 years’ experience as an estimator

If possible, provide a portfolio of previous work to reflect your experience in this field.
