Job Description: The GS-Operations starting salary $65K to $70K
The GS-OPR reports to the Production Manager
The GS-OPR works closely with the GS-HR and Production Manager. GS-OPR will support plant operations in the development, planning and execution of production schedules, lean strategies and metrics providing support to various levels throughout the organization.
The GS-OPR is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and lean manufacturing guidelines. The duties and responsibilities include participating in formulating and implementing policy in relation to Lean Manufacturing standards.

This position requires an individual that can facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and “ever changing” environment leveraging strong interpersonal skills.
Key to success in this position is the ability to identify and drive operational improvements at all levels utilizing a “hands on” approach to creating value and buy-in as the lead change facilitator for the plant’s Lean transformation.
The PM has a global view of the company, primarily from a business standpoint, a longer term of vision and has external responsibilities. The GS-HR and OPR the PS (Production Supervisor) is internally focused on the department they supervise; they typically have a shorter term of vision. The GS is a combination of the two. They are responsible to the PS in providing materials and resources and to the PM to provide confidence that the plans are being carried out properly.
