We support the industry and the companies by hosting learning events, presenting trade shows and conferences, creating informational pieces, providing employer benefits, connecting them to support and resources and so much more! No two days are the same. 


The Membership Relations & Services Manager is responsible for all facets of retaining and serving IMA members. The position is paid, 25-35 hours per week. We offer a direct primary care healthcare program, paid time off, and holiday pay along with a flexible work schedule. Starting pay is $22-24 per hour depending on what skills you bring with you. 


The Member Relations & Services Manager will participate in many facets of day-to-day IMA operations. This includes but is not limited to participating in the driving and the visioning of the IMA goals and membership initiatives, electronic and social media communication, event planning/promotion/execution, and more. The Member Relations & Services Manager is expected to attend all IMA meetings and events.  

The person chosen for this role will work closely with the Executive Director and the rest of the IMA team, but will need to be self-motivated. 

The Position requires knowledge of ways to inform and promote via written, oral, and visual media, with help from our communications/marketing specialist.

The Member Relations & Services Manager will be a driving force in retaining membership and supporting member services and events. Specific duties will include: 

  • Maintain membership records and distribution lists, with assistance from admin specialist and growth/outreach teammates 
  • Utilizing membership surveys and anecdotal information to plan, promote and execute learning, networking, and other relevant events with the help of the IMA team 
  • Manage event registrations; work with other IMA staff to ensure proper promotion, accurate billing 
  • Help develop and execute event surveys and annual membership surveys to ensure we are offering appropriate events and services to IMA members 
  • Coordinate and attend all planned membership meetings and events 
  • Plan and organize events including the annual tradeshow, membership meetings, and learning and networking events, with help from the team 
  • Manage member retention efforts and take ownership of new retention practices and strategies 
  • Identify and help recruit potential members, communicate with the IMA team 
  • Engage with members at all events and schedule regular visits or calls with current members  
  • Network with other organizations whose membership or purpose aligns with IMA’s or whose engagement can benefit IMA’s members 
  • Assist Board in other organizational duties, as assigned 
  • Identify, and present to the Board for approval, enhanced member benefits, and educational resources. Work to develop approved benefit enhancement as directed by the Board.
