Tools in the Trades, in partnership with their funder, The Ministry of Labour, Government of Ontario, is offering a one-day bootcamp in communities across Ontario. This is a FREE one-day training opportunity during which you will learn more about the Millwright field, and the apprenticeship process. The event includes a complimentary lunch, a free apprenticeship starter tool kit, and an opportunity to network with employers.

Tools in the Trades is designed specifically for adults looking to retrain in a new career. This one-day Boot Camp experience will afford you the opportunity to gain hands on tool experience with qualified instructors from the Millwright field. You will also learn essential employability skills including workplace etiquette, resume writing, interviewing skills, networking, and financial planning. Each participant will receive a free apprenticeship starter tool kit. The Boot Camp specifically will focus on those who may have lost employment during the pandemic, newcomers to Canada, women, and all persons who have been traditionally marginalized in the skilled trades. All are welcome to apply.
Employers from the area will be onsite to network with participants and possibly offer employment opportunities. Tools in the Trades staff will be available to answer questions about the apprenticeship process and to offer the opportunity to sign a Registered Training Agreement – your first step to apprenticeship.

Each one-day event will have a maximum of 30 participants.
Our Full day events start at 8:00am SHARP.
Our Evening events (offered in Niagara Falls Training Centre location ONLY) start at 4pm SHARP.
