Inventory Control is responsible for assisting the Inventory Lead in ensuring that all inventory is accounted for and for ensuring that all orders are processed and shipped in a timely and cost-effective manner
Position type: Hourly
Environment: Cold Storage
Regular Hours: 8-hour workdays (AM or PM) shifts. Overtime paid as per labour regulations.
Accountabilities and Detailed Activity
GMP & Safety Compliance
• Always follow OHSA, WHMIS and MSDS regulations and guidelines
• Ensure a safe working environment utilizing consistent practice of health and safety procedures following all company GMPs and SOPs
Inventory Inspection & Count
• Checking all shipments for damage, infestation, and production code dates
• Report shortages, damages, and misplacements
• Do physical counts of inventory and maintain accurate records
• Counting all product, comparing counts to the driver’s manifest
• Assist in other day-to-day inventory tasks such as inventory staging
Shipping Procedures Compliance
• Adhere to safe shipping, receiving and transfer practices and follow and adhere to company guidelines on safe work practices
• Assisting with the cleanliness of the dock and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures and protocol
