309A Electrical Apprenticeship Opportunity in the Niagara Area
An established, local contractor is looking to build their working team in the Niagara area. Looking to hire a 3rd to 5th year 309A Electrical Apprentice with an active account with Skilled Trades Ontario. Seeking candidate with a minimum of 2 years of commercial experience. Candidate must show initiative, be eager to learn, and have hands on experience.

Day Shift - Monday to Friday (evenings and weekends may be required)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Duties and Responsibilities
Accurately complete work orders and commission equipment with smart phone and computer
Demonostrate ability to read blueprints and schematics and use an array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical parts
Identify, troubleshoot and present technical issues in a clear and concise manner
Installation/integration of electrical systems to meet electrical safety standards
Solid knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code
Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit and electrical apparatus for machines or equipment in new and existing buildings
Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
Must have excellent organization, analyticak, planning, and troubleshooting skills
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and facilitate customer's requests
Tenacity and the determination to get things done in a timely manner as a member of a team
Self-sufficient, analytical and problem-solving skills
Safety certified for working in construction (WAH, WHMIS, Workers Health & Safety)
