Certified/licenced to perform specialist functions to construct and maintain landscape environments which include flowers, trees, shrubs, lawns and construction landscapes. Examples of positions that fall under this job description are Irrigation Technician, Irrigation/Maintenance Specialist, Licenced Lawn Exterminator, Pesticide Technician (PTP program), Licenced Pest Control, etc. Uses appropriate tools and equipment required to complete tasks.

Softscaping

Ability to transform existing landscapes with new materials

Garden bed preparation and installation of new plant material

Mulch installation (stone, natural)

Pruning, plant health assessment, aftercare

A Grounds Maintenance Technician at Parkside Landscaping is essentially responsible for maintaining our clients landscapes by following detailed instructions and completing a routine maintenance run. Reporting to the manager, this team member works under strict deadlines to meet the needs and requirements our clients properties.

Daily Responsibilities/Operations

Load and unload tools, and equipment required to complete landscape maintenance tasks

Inspect vehicles and equipment daily to ensure safe operation

Daily duties will include basic to extensive garden maintenance, Mowing, trimming, edging, blowing 

Operate lawn maintenance equipment

Basic maintenance of mowing equipment

Spring/Fall clean ups

Mulching, planting, Fertilizing

Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Required Skills

Attention to detail, positive attitude

Exceptional problem solving skills

Strong organization, leadership, and communication skills

2 years of landscaping experience preferred

Valid Drivers License G required

Plant identification skills an asset

Ability to work in a team environment

Complete daily run sheets and site check lists
