We’re growing and looking to add a full-time, well-rounded Licensed 309A Electrician. Barr Electric is a flourishing company that supports its clients in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors in the GTA.
POSITION, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls on various types of equipment.
Read and interpret electrical code, drawings and blueprints.
Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders and other electrical components in residential and commercial.
Work independently when required, and as part of a team when appropriate
Ability to work up to and including 600VAC systems and equipment
Install and troubleshoot PLC5, RS logic, RS view, Allen Bradley controls, Factory talk, Device Net & Ethernet systems
Troubleshoot and solve a variety of problems during the shift
Perform preventative maintenance
Promote and comply with Health and Safety regulations
Other duties as assigned – Indoor and Outdoor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Electrician ticket required. Trade certificate –309A
Proof of Apprenticeship
OSSD or Equivalent.
Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s, VFD’s and soft starts will be an added advantage
Good computer knowledge is an asset
Sense of urgency and attention to detail
Full G1 drivers license and own vehicle.
Accustomed to working with computerized maintenance and inventory reporting systems. QuickBooks Time and Jobber.
