We are currently looking for a seasonal full time crew lead (April - November).

Job statement:

The Landscaping crew lead is responsible for effectively communicating with crew and efficiently perform horticultural tasks as directed by Owner.

Essential Duties:

Being a positive, knowledgeable horticultural source for crew members.
Keep crew on task.
Complete timesheets and inspect the quality of work to ensure job requirements are met.
Instruct crew members on proper work standards.

Garden maintenance: pruning, weeding, edging, mulching, fertilizing, winter protection, pest management.

Installations: planting, mulching, watering, permanent edging, tree supports.
Lawn mowing, line trimming, hardscape edging.

Job Specifications:

Two to five years experience in horticulture preferred.
Potential and desire to work hard.
Ability to work independently as well as co-cooperatively and communicate clearly with the landscaping team.
The required licensing to operate a vehicle.
An understanding of small engine operation.
A willingness and desire to develop skills and knowledge and work as a team.
Must be punctual, efficient, kind and motivated.
A strong knowledge of provincial and federal safety regulations and a commitment to always supporting safety rules.

We offer hourly pay starting at $19.00 to $23.00 depending on experience and qualifications, and generally work 8-10 hour days, Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend, only when necessary.
