Maintenance Crew Foreman
Pay rate will be based on experience and/or potential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for running a maintenance crew (5 days per week), work in daily operations of property maintenance, and may be asked to do additional home maintenance related services. If you want year-round employment, snow operations will also be required therefore previous snow plow operator experience will be considered a major asset. If you would prefer winters off, that's okay too! The candidate will also assist the Owner with day to day operations including equipment maintenance etc. A certificate/degree in a Horticulture program, or a desire to work towards it, will be considered an asset however is not required. Requirements:
Must be able to perform physical duties over the length of the shift
Having knowledge of turf, plant material, garden maintenance, landscape construction practices will be considered a major asset
Have experience with mowing, trimming, weeding, cultivation, and edging of garden areas
Have experience with ZT Mowers, gas trimmers, blowers, gas power cultivators and hedge trimmers
Must be able to operate pickup truck and trailer combinations
Work outdoors during a variety of weather conditions
Must be able to lift up to 20kg repeatedly during your shift
Must be available Monday - Friday day time hours, and some Saturdays as required
Have transportation to our office at 109 Concession Rd 6 East, Millgrove
Provide a valid class "G" driver's licence and current driver's abstract at the time of interview
Hourly wage to be based on experience - $24 - $26 per hour
