Position Fundamentals:

TERRA has an opening for an experienced full-time In-Store Visual Merchandiser (ISM). As the ISM, you will work closely with your store team and the Regional Merchandising Manager (RMM) to bring to life inspiring and innovative product displays. You will exercise your creative muscles to drive sales and profitability. Have fun while working hard in this unique position.

Requirements:

-Ability and willingness to work with RMM and store management to ensure profitability, service standards, and merchandising expectations are met;

-Identify sales opportunities, as well as positively affect product flow and inventory management through creative merchandising, in line with assortment decisions and category strategies;

-Ability execute frequent seasonal change overs and respond quickly to customer demand. Must be able to adapt to quick changes.

-Executes tasks with health and safety top of mind;

-Proven ability to balance sales floor merchandising tasks with customer service standards;

-Fostering a positive and energetic atmosphere in the department, with peers, supervisors, and towards all aspects of the position;

-Customer service and sales focus in fast paced/high volume setting; ability to meet the needs of several customers at once;

-This is a physically demanding position with frequent:

• Lifting up to 40 lbs from floor to waist
• Lifting up to 20 lbs above shoulder height
• Pushing/pulling more than body weight
• Repeated movements
• Bending, crouching, kneeling repeatedly
• Ladder use
• Standing and walking for extended periods on concrete floors and in safety footwear

-Able to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions;

-Exceptional organizational skills; ability to effectively plan physical space, time, and labour;

-Uniform top provided. Must have Green Patch CSA approved safety footwear.

Professional Qualifications:

-2 years experience in a fast-paced retail environment;

-Established professional portfolio;

-Preferred post-secondary education in Visual Merchandising, related disciplines, or equivalent work experience.
