Welcome To Algonquin Property Services Inc. - Applying For The Landscape Construction Lead Hand Position

The Landscape Construction Lead Hand is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (generally physical labour) in order to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects.

Under general supervision and possibly independently, will be required to do the following:

• perform a variety of work for landscape construction projects
• operate a variety of tools and equipment
• maintain and perform minor repairs to landscape construction equipment
• perform related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

This position requires customer and quality focus, effective communication skills, being highly alert and demonstrating problem solving, manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, good balance, responsibility and dependability, ethics and integrity and an ability to work both independently with little supervision and as part of a team.  Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.  Heavy lifting may be required.

• Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including specialized knowledge and work experience in landscape construction techniques
• Seniority
• Quality/Quantity of work performed
• Valid driver’s licence
• Years of experience
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape construction practices.

A clean Class G Driver's Licence is an asset.
