Here at Rockscapes of Canada, we have a passion for bringing our clients visions to life by utilizing Artificial Rock, Trees, Coral, Theming and more. We’ve honed our expertise in creating breathtaking landscapes. Our innovation approach allows us to reproduce a wide range of geographical formations, from serene cascading waterfalls to majestic rock gardens and more.

As an Artisan Construction Crew Member, you will be a vital part of our creative team. Your artistic skill will bring our rock transformations to life. With an array of castings, your creativity will flourish as you craft landscapes inspired by designs provided. Your ability to replicate the finest details of trees, roots, and rock textures will contribute to the authenticity and beauty of natural habitats.

We provide in house training along with extended benefits and on-site parking

 

Wage

$25-$30/hr based on experience. 

 

Job type

Full-time, Permanent – Monday to Thursday 7am – 5pm

 

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Transforming molds into intricate rock formation
  • Create environments based on provided designs, utilizing a wide selection of granite and limestone castings
  • Replicate tree and roots with the meticulous attention to detail and scale
  • Ensure castings accurately mirror the shape, texture and details of the original formation
  • Uphold quality standards while working on the project to deliver the highest level of craftmanship
  • Aid in the construction of water feature and rockwork projects from start to finish
  • Assist with loading and unloading tools and products into work trucks
  • Communicate with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Perform pond maintenance and repairs
  • Report any maintenance issue with vehicles and machines
  • Maintain inventory of tools
  • Keep trailer, vehicles, and construction area neat and organized
  • Comply with company safety policy, procedure, and practices

 

Experience

  • Experience with using airbrush gun and paint (preferred)
  • Knowledge of pond industry a plus, but not required
  • Landscaping: 2 years (preferred)
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Operate a skid steer, excavator: 1+ years (preferred)

 

 Required Skills

  • Artistic flair evident in replicating natural textures and patterns
  • Attention to detail and precision
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to innovate within the artistic process
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid G license with a safe record and access to own transportation
  • Ability to travel to multiple site locations to meet the needs of the business
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible
  • Available to work Monday – Friday 6 am to 6 pm if needed, with some weekend work required throughout the year
  • Able to lift to 65 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and squat throughout an 8–12-hour shift
  • Work outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust and cold
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work with various hand/power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials
  • Ideal candidate will be creative, self-motivated, able to follow direction and a team player

  

Ability to commute/relocate
