triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc. is actively seeking a LMS Support Specialist interested in joining our Academic Services Team.

Primary Purpose:

The main purpose of the LMS Support Specialist is to provide technical support for resolution or escalation of Learning Management System (LMS) related problems or requests initiated by triOS College and Eastern College employees and students at large. The LMS Support Specialist will act as an escalated point of contact for LMS issues and performs complex troubleshooting tasks and problem diagnosis.

The LMS Support Specialist will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication, and readiness, embracing diversity, and fostering inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to inbound on-line ticketing requests and calls to identify, investigate, and resolve staff/student Learning Management System (LMS) issues in a prompt and courteous manner.
LMS Course Administration.
Troubleshoot and resolve/repair LMS issues related to quizzes and assessments.
Coordinate and develop problem isolation plans and a willingness to go over and above to solve the customer’s problems when appropriate; Assemble and assess solution alternatives.
Develop and document procedures for support and operations; Ensure processes adhere to all regulatory requirements; Provide control and follow-up for the customer.
Work with Support team on assigned projects and other responsible duties.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education/college diploma.
1-2 years’ experience in a Technical Support Role or equivalent.
1-2 years’ experience in D2L Brightspace; or similar Learning Management System used in the education sector for example Moodle, Canvas or Blackboard.
Knowledge of 3rd party LTI tools listed would be an asset.

Hours of Work:

Hours of work for this position are full time hours. Shifts from 7 am – 10 pm EST, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of occasional weekend work. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate business requirements will be necessary.
