Job Description:
Foreperson reasonable for planting crew and special interest maintenance projects.
Good knowledge and identification of plant material: Trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals.
Good knowledge of planting techniques.
Residential and commercial landscape maintenance experience (lawn care, garden maintenance, pruning, etc...)
Working with equipment (Mowers, line trimmers, blowers, etc..)
Providing customer service.
Maintain clean tools and equipment and keep a tidy work area.
Participate in training and safety courses. Follow all health and safety regulations including proper PPE, and safe handling of any machinery, fertilizers, chemicals, etc.…
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be able to work days and some Saturdays with 7:00am start time in Scarborough.
High School Diploma.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
A strong working understanding of maintenance practices and application.
An eye for detail and particulars and overall understanding or garden design principles.
Good working knowledge and experience with machinery and equipment as well as equipment maintenance and care.
Organized, positive and motivated within a safety focused working environment.
Ability to work under pressure and in diverse working conditions.
Ability to work well with other staff and to be a productive problem solving team member.
Customer oriented, personable with excellent communication skills.
Clean drivers abstract with minimum G license a must
