We are an organization who works as a team and are seeking a Landscape Construction Lead Hand who takes pride in their work and can deliver a high standard of workmanship. We are also looking for someone who has the ability to pass on landscape knowledge and teach (mentor) while on the job site.
Qualifications: Experience in hardscaping/softscaping and reading landscape drawings. Must be able to lift 50lb+ consistently. Positive problem-solving attitude important. Good knowledge of plant material an asset. Must be able to read landscape drawings and set grades. Must have valid driver’s license. Ability to operate small equipment (mini-ex, skid steer, etc). Must report to our yard each morning by 7am at 343 Munster Ave in Etobicoke.
Work Conditions: Outdoors. Successful candidate should be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
Type of work: Sodding, planting, softscaping, stone work, and demolition. Some carpentry.
Work Experience: 3+ years in Landscaping
Work Week: Monday to Friday (55-60 hours per week). April through to December. Required to work up to 1 Saturday per month. 4% vacation pay.
Wage: $26-$28 per hour, depending on experience.
4% vacation pay.
