Welcome To Murray's landscape Services - Applying For The Crew Member/Labourer Position

The landscape labourer works seasonally as part of a professional crew to carry out excellent landscape construction for our commercial and residential customers. They work alongside other workers to complete landscape projects. Projects may include turf installation, planting bed construction, tree planting, shrub planting, stone and paver installation, wall construction and other landscape related tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Excavation and movement of soil.
• Grading and raking of aggregates and soils to establish grades.
• Planting bed cultivation, weeding, edging, and mulching.
• Planting of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees.
• Installation of soil, lawn seed, and sod.
• Watering of beds and containers.
• Spreading of fertilizers and other soil amendments.
• Use gas operated power tools.
• Use landscape related hand tools.
• Represent Murray’s at the job site; ensure polite communication with the customer.
• Follow company safety program.

Skills:

• Knowledge and previous gardening/landscaping related experience.
• Operate safely all power and hand tools utilized in landscaping projects.
• The ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in landscape industry an asset.
• Valid driver’s license an asset.
• Able to work outside in a physically demanding position.
