OK Tire - Tire Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

• Perform oil changes and lubrication services on vehicles. 
• Inspect and top off fluids as needed
• Rotate tires and perform tire pressure checks
• Complete basic vehicle inspections and report any findings to the service advisor and lead technician
• Complete tire repairs 
• Install and balance tires on all makes and model vehicles
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Move vehicles around in and out of the shop
• Operate hand and power tools/air tools
• Safely operate tire change-over equipment (training provided)
• Assist and learn from other team members
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed 
• Conduct efficient Receiving/Shipping of all inventories that enter and leave the shop.

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in an automotive repair shop is preferred but not required
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude are preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks
• Excellent customer service skills
• Familiarity and safe use of hand and power tools and all shop equipment
• Attention to detail
• Work in a fast-paced, loud and sometimes hot environment
• Squatting, kneeling and standing for extended periods
• Work independently and accept duties as prescribed by the supervisor

Experience:

• Previous experience in a shop environment will be considered an asset.
• Education: High School (Preferred) 

Credentials Required:

• WHMIS
• Drivers License
• Clean Driver’s record and License

• The ability to operate a standard transmission will be considered an asset

Own Tools/Equipment:

• Steel Toed Boots
• Safety Glasses 

Schedule: Monday to Friday - 7:30 - 5:00

Work Location: In person - Windsor NS
