OK Tire - Commercial Service Truck Tire Technician

Job Description:

  • 24/7 emergency tire service operator
  • Perform tire service repairs and maintenance on industrial, commercial, OTR, and agriculture tires.
  • Interact with store Management and Service Advisors to obtain work orders and customer service-specific requirements.
  • Ensure proper use and knowledge of operating hand and power tools/air tools.
  • Learn to use pneumatic air tools, lift, secure, remove, inspect, replace, repair, install, lower and torque commercial wheel assemblies.
  • Operate a ¾ ton commercial tire service truck or commercial-size boom truck.
  • Complete tire installations and repairs on HD equipment off-site in customer yards & emergency roadside service.
  • Ability to work after hours on a rotation, 
  • Accurately complete all documentation/paperwork regarding service work and work orders.
  • Deliver customer tire maintenance program by completing scheduled fleet tire inspections.
  • Ensure service vehicles, shops, and all equipment are maintained in a safe, organized, neat, and clean manner.
  • Conduct efficient receiving/shipping of all inventories that enters and leaves the shop.
  • Professionally interact and communicate with all customers.
  • Assist and learn from other team members.
  • Assist Passenger Light Truck Tire Technicians as required.
  • Safely operate tire change-over equipment (training provided)

 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience in commercial, OTR and agriculture tire changes and repairs is required.
  • Previous experience in an automotive repair shop is preferred but not required
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude are preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Familiarity and safe use of hand and power tools and all shop equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Work in a fast-paced, loud and sometimes hot environment
  • Ability to work outside in all elements
  • Squatting, kneeling and standing for extended periods
  • Work independently and accept duties as prescribed by the supervisor

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a shop environment or on a service truck will be considered an asset.
  • Education: High School (Preferred) 

Credentials Required:

  • WHMIS
  • Drivers License
  • Clean Driver’s record and License
  • The ability to operate a standard transmission will be considered an asset

  • Steel Toed Boots
  • Safety Glasses 

Schedule: Monday to Friday - 7:30 - 5:00

Work Location: In person - Windsor NS
