Dynamic Electric is looking to hire an electrician to join our growing team. We have been working as licensed electricians in the Muskoka area for over 19 years and have extensive knowledge of the area. We have built a loyal client base through excellent customer service and attention to detail.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in commercial and residential settings. Knowledge of automation systems is a plus. (Vantage, Lutron, Sonos etc.)

The successful applicant will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in our clients’ homes/cottages. Vehicle options will be discussed upon hiring.

Job responsibilities:

• Install and maintain electrical wiring, control, and lighting systems (e.g., switches, circuit-breaker panels, other safety and distribution components)
• Inspect, repair, and replace electrical components and equipment such as wiring, fixtures, insulated cables, transformers, and circuit breakers
• Perform general electrical maintenance and corrective/preventive maintenance on electrical systems, electrical panels, and circuits
• Inspect, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical system issues, safety hazards, and malfunctions
• Follow the OESC (Ontario Electrical Safety Code), local building regulations, and safety procedures for every installation and repair
• Manage job details, review daily tasks, and follow up with clients.

Qualifications and skills:

• Certificate of Qualification in Ontario
• Successful completion of an electrician apprenticeship program
• 1+ years of electrical contracting experience
• Valid driver’s licence, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Good understanding of electrical theory
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Able to lift and carry 50+ pounds
• Able to sit, stand, kneel, climb, lift, and climb stairs and ladders
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Can work independently and as part of a team environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Salary Range:

$37 - $40 per hour

Electrician – Construction and Maintenance is a regulated trade in Ontario. Qualified individuals may obtain a Certificate of Qualification, which confirms its holder has the skills, knowledge and experience that meet industry standards of practice for the trade.

Qualified Electricians – Construction and Maintenance and apprentices must be listed on the Skilled Trades Ontario Public Register.
