Our 35,000-square-foot warehouse stocks over 100,000 products, including MCC wrapper/buckets, panel switches, circuit breakers, bus plugs, distribution panel boards, and so much more. We stock products of all amperages and voltages to serve residential, commercial and industrial needs.

The Position

Reporting to the Owner and President, the Electrical Shop Supervisor will be supporting our staff in the Mississauga location, the successful incumbent will be responsible for Supervising the electrical technicians in our warehouse.

 Job Duties

  • plans installations from blueprints, sketches and specifications and installs all electrical and electronic devices
  • systematically diagnoses faults in electrical and electronic systems and equipment and repairs or replaces electrical and electronic components as required
  • measures, cuts, threads, bends, assembles and installs conduits and other electrical conductor raceways
  • splices and terminates electrical conductors
  • tests electrical and electronic equipment for proper function
  • Provide Technical guidance and support as the technician team, repairs, builds and maintains electrical equipment.
  • Participate in maintenance and reliability improvement projects, Project development and improvement.
  • Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
  • Supervise technicians and manage their attendance and track performance
  • Ensure safety protocols are being met
  • Participate in managing operating costs, and streamlining processes.
  • Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals - both within own department and cross-departmentally.
  • Be highly effective in motivation, organization, time management and decision-making.
  • Provide on-going coaching, feedback, and development suggestions to improve individual performance.
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Electrical testing
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

 

Qualifications

  • Experience with Switch Gears, Motor Controls and Control Panels
  • Electrical Testing (DLRO, Hi pot, Megger, and Primary injection testing) is an asset.
  • Proven leadership skill in a pressurized environment
  • Completion of an industrial electrician apprenticeship
  • A minimum of 6 or more years’ experience in the field including operating/maintenance experience in control panels and breakers.
  • 2 - 3 years or more years of proven supervisory experience.
  • Will understand and be familiar with Electrical Codes
  • Ability to perform in a self-directed, fast paced, team environment
  • The incumbent will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
