Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Labourers to join our team.  As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our irrigation & hydroseeding projects by assisting with various tasks related to new installations and repair of existing irrigation systems. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina and attention to detail, and is a great way to get in shape over the summer. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation of irrigation systems, including trenching, laying pipes, and installing various components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing sprinkler heads, flushing and replacing valves, and adjusting sprinkler nozzles.
  • Support repair efforts by digging up and exposing damaged pipes, fittings, or components.
  • Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and prioritize work assignments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required. There is no public transportation to our shop location.
