In business for 6 years, we are landscape professionals serving the GTA, specializing in landscape design, consultation and installation of both residential and commercial developments. We also offer summer lawn care and winter maintenance services.

We are currently seeking a Landscape Crew Leader with a minimum of 5 years experience in Hardscaping/Interlock, to join our team and lead in Hardscape installations with a focus on creating beautifully landscaped properties to meet clients unique needs. This position will also assist in managing and training crew members on proper work standards and ensuring job requirements are met.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct, plan and coordinate daily work activities of crew members
Lead and work along with crew members in completing all landscaping installations, with a focus on hardscaping
Instruct crew members on proper work standards
Instruct crew member on proper health and safety
Complete timesheets
Inspect the quality of work to ensure job requirements are met
Conduct site visits during construction as required
Meet deadlines for project stages
Drives company vehicle (and trailer) to clients locations
Snow removal and salting
Interact with clients to resolve issues and/or answer questions
Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment
Able and willing to work outside in various types of Summer and Winter weather conditions
Assist in general office duties as required
Perform other duties as may be assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 5 years of experience leading Hardscape installations
Minimum College Diploma/Certificate or enrolment in Horticulture or Landscape Design or related field and/or extensive proven industry experience will be considered
Knowledge of construction techniques and basic knowledge of horticulture and plants an asset
Working knowledge of Windows OS software
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
Excellent time management skills
Ability to safely operate a variety of hand tools and equipment such as packers, chain saws, hedge shears, sod cutters, pruning saws, mowing equipment, etc. to complete landscape and garden projects
Ability to safely operate a variety of large construction equipment such as Excavators, Skid Steer, Back Hoe, etc.,
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid G driver’s license required. D/AZ driver’s license is preferred with a clean driver’s abstract

Successful candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:

Personal transportation to and from the office/yard
Available to work Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm
Willing to work extra hours during busy times
Eager to learn and expand skills
Adhere to company policies & procedures

Compensation and Benefits:

$25 to $35 / hour based on experience
Paid statutory holidays
All uniforms and PPE paid for by company
