Position Overview

A Rust Proofing technician is generally responsible for Undercoating misc Vehicles and Washing them afterwards and complete work orders.

General Maintenance also may include performing Oil Changes, minor Mechanical Work and Tire changes and repairs.

 

 

 

Education and Credentials

  •  High School diploma or equivalent an asset
  •  Valid Driver’s License
  •  Candidates may be expected to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
  •  Training is primarily on-the-job or online.
  • Experience is not required but is considered an asset.

Tasks and Duties

  • Talking to the customer and service staff about any issues they are experiencing.
  • Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health.
  • Recommending appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires.
  • Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves.
  • Installing new tires.
  • Balancing tires.
  • Studding tires for snow use.
  • Conducting inventory and maintaining equipment.
  • Oil Changes and Related work.
  • Rust Proofing Automobiles and Trucks.

Job Requirements and Regulations

  •  Valid Driver’s License
  •  Candidates may be expected to lift weights up to 50lbs.
