Wieser Electric is a family business and—bonus fun fact—a veteran-owned business, so we know the value of teamwork, clear orders, and keeping our boots tied (hint: it helps in attics and on parade grounds alike). We’ve proudly served the Kingston, Ontario area since 2017, helping people with all things electrical—residential, commercial, maintenance, and emergencies (because breaker panels never check the clock before misbehaving). Our crew of licensed pros and resourceful support staff is devoted to top-tier customer service, skilled workmanship, and solutions tailored so well they could wear a tuxedo.
Since 2018, we’ve also specialized in Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE)—yes, we install chargers for all those futuristic cars. Our plans involve spreading our highly organized approach (and possibly our legendary tool organization tips) across Ontario. And yes, some of our military-grade organization skills may possibly rub off on you—but don’t worry, push-ups are not required.
Most of your days with us will involve residential service, EV charger installations, service upgrades, and giving job quotes (no, you don’t need to be a mathlete—we’ll train you). We work in pairs; think “dynamic duo,” but with safety glasses and fewer secret identities. You’ll be the face of Wieser Electric, so good communication is non-negotiable—and so is collecting payment (we’ve found the lights sometimes stay on longer that way).
This is a part-time, on-call role—think “as needed,” not “all the time.” It’s perfect for someone who doesn’t require full-time hours and likes a schedule that’s as flexible as a well-bent conduit. Current operating hours are Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 4 pm, but since electrical issues don’t own watches, there are occasional emergencies and weekend calls.
Your checklist for reporting for duty:
Valid 309A Journeyperson Ontario Licence—no exceptions, not even for people with excellent salute form
Willingness to travel (sometimes beyond friendly lines, like Napanee or Gananoque)
Self-motivation (we’re too busy to micro-manage, and our drill sergeant retired years ago)
You look neat and professional, even if the crawlspace doesn’t
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Smartphone required (carrier pigeons are not part of the communications protocol)
Driver’s licence and abstract (sorry, tank licences not accepted)
Your own tools (bonus points if they’re parade-ready)
Residential experience preferred
Enthusiasm for electric vehicles—or, at the very least, you don’t mind plugging in new things
Sales experience is a nice bonus
Pay: $35.58/hour plus benefits and pension. Travel may vary the rate, but that’s the floor.
Sadly, no apprentices at this time—veterans of the trade only, please.
If you appreciate a business where discipline, humour, and friendly professionalism go hand in hand, we’d love to see your application land in our inbox—no marching necessary.
