Pet Resort in the general Charlotte, NC area is seeking a born leader and animal lover with a passion for top-notch care. The General Manager of our resort will be at the head of it all and will ensure a premier experience for pets and pet parents alike. This is your opportunity to work with pets and pet lovers and show us your natural talent for leadership!

Your Role:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the resort, guide and support center staff
  • Act as the face of the resort and provide the highest standard of customer service
  • Flexibility within your role; able to work alongside your team in the day-to-day operation of your facility as well as on administrative duties. Manage the front desk, daycare, and kennel rooms as needed.
  • Monitor your staff, foster their growth, and provide excellent leadership and chances for their development. Ensure staff compliance with training and industry standards.
  • Work with corporate leadership and staff and oversee payroll.
  • Schedule staff according to the center’s needs while being mindful of budgets
  • Provide reports as needed to leadership, including financial, revenue, and end-of-day reports.
  • Ensure that all pets in our care have the best possible experience by upholding safety standards, correctly administering medications, and maintain necessary supplies.
  • Complete any and all assigned training associated with your position
  • Participate in scheduled and essential meetings with other leaders in our company
  • Represent us out in the community—be our face in local events, and work with local businesses.
  • Complete any other assigned duties

 

Must-Have Skills:

  • At least two years of management experience, including basic experience with P&L.
  • Enthusiasm for a great customer experience
  • Modern computer skills and adaptability to learn industry software
  • Able to problem solve, manage people, and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication skills: able to present ideas and motivate others
  • Previous animal experience not required, but a plus—but a love for animals is an absolute necessity
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and tasks
  • Flexible schedule—able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Creativity and a mindset for improvement and growth—impact your resort in a positive way with fresh ideas
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours per week alongside your team
  • The ability to lift at least 40 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the day
  • A desire to grow even further

What We Offer:

  • Pay range $50,000-$60,000 per year, Exempt salary position
