Sprinkler Fitter 427A / Fire Protection - ENEK Electric Inc.

ENEK Electric Inc. is seeking a Sprinkler Fitter 427A to join our growing team in the greater Hamilton area. As a key member of our fire protection services division, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing of sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with Canadian fire safety codes and regulations. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting annual fire alarm inspections and testing of sprinkler systems according to applicable Canadian Fire Codes (CFAAs) and provincial regulations.
Performing routine maintenance and repair services on existing sprinkler systems, including testing, adjusting, and replacing components.
Responding to service requests and emergency call-outs, providing on-call support on a rotating schedule.
Preparing detailed reports on inspections, maintenance activities, and system performance, adhering to ENEK Electric Inc.’s documentation standards.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant Canadian safety standards and procedures.
Maintaining accurate records of all work performed and system data.
Assisting with the installation of new sprinkler systems as directed by senior technicians.

Required Qualifications:

Valid Canadian Fire Alarm Technician Assistant (427A) License issued by the Canadian Standards Association (CFAAs).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of sprinkler systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian Fire Codes (CFAAs) and provincial fire safety regulations.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically fit and capable of performing demanding tasks, including working at heights and in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with various types of sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge).
Certification in other relevant trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical).
Experience with fire alarm control panels and systems.
Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) relating to fire protection.
