Primary Purpose: 

  The primary purpose of the instructor position is to plan, organize, and deliver curricula to students in an instructor-led environment in class. The instructor will be responsible to teach and facilitate courses to classes of students in the Early Childhood Education diploma program. The instructor will evaluate student performance relating to the curricula using a variety of assessments. The instructor will assist with activities to support student success, including student internship and job placement, industry liaison, and administrative functions when required.

The instructor will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication, and readiness, embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

 

What you bring to the position:

  • Early Childhood Educator (ECE) registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators is required.
  • A college diploma or university degree in a related field (Teaching, Early Childhood Education, etc.) is required.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience in an early childhood education environment is required.
  • A university degree in a related field is considered an asset.
  • A degree or diploma in adult education is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of Adult Learning Principles is preferred.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.
  • Teaching experience in an online environment is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Knowledge of D2L Brightspace or another learning management system is considered an asset.
