Payroll Certificate, Accounting/Payroll Diploma or relevant experience within the field, and grow
within the role.

The ideal candidate would possess excellent communication, prioritization, and multitasking
skills, Strong ethics and integrity are a must, A self-starter, the candidate would be equally capable of
working individually or as a team; providing back-up and support to teammates during busy times and
vacation coverage.

Position Type : Full-time, hybrid model


Reports to: VP Accounting & Admin


Accounting Responsibilities:
• Process centralized payroll bi-weekly for workforce across three locations, ensuring accuracy of
hours, deductions, bonuses, and benefits
• Manage payroll accruals, commission calculations and commissions accruals
• Ensure compliance with Ontario's employment standards, provincial and federal tax regulations, and
other relevant laws
• Maintain employee records and updates, wage rates, direct deposit information, and benefits
deductions
• Manage core document templates around employee programs (ie enrolment forms)
• Support reporting requirements, including headcount, vacation accruals, ESOP & RRSP, and ad hoc
management reporting
• Onboarding EEs in payroll system
• Offboarding EEs in payroll system and issuing ROEs
• Issuing T4, T4A and submitting T4/T4A summaries
• Preparing and reconciling Source Deductions, WSIB and EHT reporting to government agencies
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of EE records and adhering to company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with HR on employee status changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, leaves of absence),
including maintaining up to date records within HRIS software
• Support HR on administration of employee programs, including benefits, Group RRSP, ESOP
• Other duties as assigned


Required Skills / Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience, ideally in Ontario.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll laws, including tax withholding and statutory deductions.
• Proficiency in payroll software (Payworks, Quickbooks) and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Payroll compliance certification (e.g., PCP) is a plus.
