We are a full-service electrical contractor that services electrical needs across Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk, which requires visiting various job sites and completing a wide variety of work for residential, commercial, industrial and telecom customers.

MUST HAVE: 309A Construction and Maintenance J/P

You will be visiting various job sites throughout the day/week as needed. You will visit the Waterford shop to check in, load up materials and equipment as required for the day/week's work. You will be required to log in your daily activity and complete daily reports.

You must be able to work independently or with an apprentice and be a team player.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid 309A License
  • Able to work independently and efficiently
  • Must be able to trouble shoot and problem solve
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code
  • Working at Heights Certified
  • Bondable
  • Hold valid Driver's License and have clean drivers abstract
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Work occasionally flexible hours if needed to finish the job, emergencies and daily travel

An Electrician - Construction and Maintenance plans, assembles, connects, installs, repairs, inspects, tests, verifies, and maintains electrical systems in various settings (i.e. residential, commercial, institutional, industrial). He/she measures, cuts, threads, bends, assembles and installs conduits, electrical conductor enclosures and supports. Electrical systems include heating, lighting, power, communication, control, security systems and renewable energy and energy storage systems. Specifically, an Electrician - Construction and Maintenance:

  • lays out, assembles, installs, repairs, maintains, connects and/or tests electrical systems
  • plans installations from blueprints, sketches and specifications, and installs all electrical and electronic devices
  • systematically diagnoses faults in electrical and electronic components, as required
  • measures, cuts, threads, bends, assembles and installs conduits and other electrical conductor raceways
  • splices and terminates electrical conductors
  • tests electrical and electronic equipment to ensure that they are functioning properly 

Electrician – Construction and Maintenance is a regulated trade in Ontario. Qualified individuals may obtain a Certificate of Qualification, which confirms its holder has the skills, knowledge and experience that meet industry standards of practice for the trade.

Qualified Electricians – Construction and Maintenance and apprentices must be listed on the Skilled Trades Ontario Public Register.
