As an HVAC Technician at Patriot Air Conditioning, your primary responsibilities include locating and diagnosing maintenance issues on equipment, conducting warranty services, and promptly addressing emergency repairs for specific equipment items. You’ll also diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, guiding customers toward informed and confident purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Install new residential and commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation (HVAC/R) systems.
  • Perform start-ups of newly installed HVAC/R systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics
  •  Follow blueprints and schematics for system installation
  • Cutting, bending, and brazing tubing
  • Ensure installations meet all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Provide excellent customer service during installations.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting to ensure proper system operation after installation.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts
  •  Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial/residential HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout
  • Knowledge of machines and tools for repair and maintenance

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience as HVAC/R technician or installer
  • Background in appliance repair is beneficial

 

Certifications

  • EPA 608 Certification
  • OSHA 10
  • Preferred HVAC/R certification through accredited tech school 
  • EPA Section 608 Certification.
  • Experience with specific brands or types of HVAC/R equipment.
  • Experience in both residential and commercial installations.
  • Background in appliance repair (still beneficial, but less critical).

Mandatory Requirements

  • Valid driver's license 
  • Subject to drug test & background checks
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
