We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated Retail/Fuel Station Manager to join our team today. In this role, you will be responsible for effectively oversee daily operations, managing staff, controlling inventory, and ensuring safety and security of the location. This position can indeed be a challenging job. It involves overseeing various aspects of daily operations, such as managing inventory, implementing promotions and discounts, and handling customer service issues. Our family business operates 364 days of the year from 6:00am to 11:00pm. It sometimes requires our managers to work weekends/or be on-call for emergencies. Additionally, managers need to stay updated on safety regulations, environmental compliance, and market trends in the industry. The ideal applicant has a passion for retail customer service, commitment to cleanliness, a positive attitude, the ability to comprehend and retain new information daily, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Retail/Fuel Station Manager Duties and Responsibilities
•
Oversees the fuel and store operations, ensures that all tasks are completed each and everyday
•
Meeting customers’ needs, handling customer inquiries and complaints
•
Maintaining the facilities cleanliness and appearance
•
Helping people pump gas in their cars as needed
•
Counting and managing inventory, ensuring the store is adequately stocked
•
Ordering merchandise, including snacks, drinks, and cigarettes
•
Supervise employees, which entails training new workers
•
Responsible for managing sales at your gas station
•
Supervise employees, monitor performance, confirm employees are meeting operational requirements, and ensure all employees are properly trained
•
Ensure compliance of all regulations, laws, safety and environmental, permits and licences regarding the operation of the facility are followed
•
Ensure fuel price changes are made
•
Monitoring sales and transactions
•
Additionally, they may assist the Finance Team in administrative tasks
•
Repetitive tasks
•
Prepare and assemble product according to company specifications and standards for in-store sales
•
Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area, ensuring all kitchen equipment is sanitized and in good working order
•
Slicing Meat with commercial slicer
•
Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures are required
