The Head Office for Charm Diamond Centres (CJ Limited) is looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Sales Audit Clerk at our location in Dartmouth, NS.

This position is a 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension.

The Sales Audit Clerk will play an important role in ensuring the integrity of sales:

Assist with sales auditing by verifying transactions and other related documents for a portfolio of stores
Ensure accuracy and completeness of cash and credit deposits
Ensure the sales from the stores balance i.e., comparing sales from point of sales systems with different financial reports like bank statements, etc.
Assist with year-end review and month-end processes and reconciliations
Respond promptly to store issues and requests, and work with them to resolve sales variances and discrepancies
Assist with the automation of processes and system improvements
Prepare various Excel reports
Provide backup for other functions in the department as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

Proficient Excel abilities is considered a strong asset
Previous experience using Epicor, or another accounting software is considered an asset
Previous experience using POS and retail management software is considered an asset
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
An ability to stick to strict deadlines
Strong communication skills – verbal and written
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
High level of attention to detail
Friendly and energetic team player with a positive attitude
