We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and independent SECOND or THIRD year electrical apprentice, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Schooling is strongly desirable but not a requirement. Must be competent and knowledgeable in the basic skills of the trade and able to apply this knowledge across dynamic and varied job sites.
The position will require travel, often for multiple days at a time, as we complete projects in northern Ontario. Lodging and meals are provided by the company.
An Electrician - Construction and Maintenance plans, assembles, connects, installs, repairs, inspects, tests, verifies, and maintains electrical systems in various settings (i.e. residential, commercial, institutional, industrial). They measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits, electrical conductor enclosures and supports. Electrical systems include heating, lighting, power, communication, control, security systems and renewable energy and energy storage systems. Electrician – Construction and Maintenance is a regulated trade in Ontario. Qualified individuals may obtain a Certificate of Qualification, which confirms its holder has the skills, knowledge and experience that meet industry standards of practice for the trade.
Qualified Electricians – Construction and Maintenance and apprentices must be listed on the Skilled Trades Ontario Public Register.
